Martin Jennings

Head of Global Planning, International

Martin Jennings is the Head of Global Planning for Legends International. He oversees the development and implementation of Legends 360 services platform in the UK as well as the Global Planning division internationally.

Martin has worked in construction and development throughout Europe for over 25 years. He has extensive experience managing sports stadia and indoor arena projects and is passionate about finding creative solutions and delivering best value for clients.

Martin joined Legends International at the start of 2018 as Senior Vice President, Project Development to lead and build the company’s Project Development capacity in Europe. Since joining he has been instrumental in the strong foundation Legends has established internationally, managing a wide range of prominent stadium and arena/exhibition centre development projects across Europe and having a leading role in the roll out of Legends 360 offer to clients in Europe.

Before joining Legends, Martin held Partner/Director level positions in major construction consultancies including Arcadis and AECOM, project managing a wide range of projects in the sports, leisure and higher education sectors.  His professional qualifications cover being a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).

His current and recent work includes:

  • Managing the visioning and commercial optimisation of the redeveloped Bernabeu stadium for Real Madrid CF
  • Project management of two expansions of Anfield Stadium for Liverpool FC, taking capacity from 45,000 to 61,000, plus a new elite training facility which opened in 2020
  • Project management of the redevelopment of the Riverside Stand for Fulham FC, which is currently under construction
  • Project management of a new indoor arena, exhibition/meeting centre and twin hotels in Gateshead, UK
